This afternoon was a perfect example. Firstly let me scene set for you . . .
We had some time free so we decided we would go to our local fish supplier and get a couple of more colourful fish for our garden pond. We returned, excited to get the fish in the water and sat on the garden chairs near the pond. Derek was struggling to take the elastic band off the bag that held the fish but was already floating in our pond in order to get the fish acclimatised to the change in temperature. I offered to help and this is when it all started to go wrong.
I moved my chair, ever so slightly (away from the water of course). The back feet of the chair were now no longer on firm ground but soil.
As I have said elsewhere I am not a small lady, neither am I light. The back feet of the chair started to sink and as I disappeared slowly, backwards into the rose bush, my legs in the air I clearly remember thinking (before I started to hurt from multiple thorns) "Well doesn't THAT look dignified"?
I sometimes think that maybe I'm in danger of taking myself too seriously, but then again I don't think for one minute that Spirit is going to let that happen do you?
