The thing that they had in common, apart from Spirit giving tremendous affirmations, was before the curtain went up when I turned round to John (John Cook, the medium and friend I do shows with) and said "We must be completely mad"
This is something I always say, and always mean. For the 10 minutes before a show begins I feel the least appropriate person to do a show, my mouth goes dry, I want to go to the loo too much, and I feel sick. Then the music starts, I walk onto the stage and it's showtime.
So why on earth do we two adult people put ourselves through this time after time?
It certainly isn't money (we break even at most shows) and I don't think its ego. I think it is conviction. We both have a firm conviction that this is what we should be doing, that we can, and do bring messages to people from those they love who have passed, and that people leave the show happier than they were when they arrived.
So this is why we do it, because we love what we do, we love helping people connect with those they love. So hopefully we'll see you at the next one or the one after that, come along and be a part of it!
